All mineral cosmetics are not created equal!  Unfortunately, purchasing what is labeled “mineral cosmetics” does not always mean that you are guaranteed a natural, consistent experience.

Many of the big names in mineral cosmetics add ingredients to their products that BARE Natur-ALL would never use.  For example you will often find fillers in certain “mineral” products which dilute the pigments and mean that the cosmetics are not as pure.  They are cheaper to produce like this but you often don’t get the density of colour that you see with BARE Natur-ALL cosmetics.  You may also find ingredients such as Bismuth Oxychloride which causes irritation to some people or Talc and Parabens, things that BARE Natur-ALL would never dream of adding to their products.

As larger, more mainstream cosmetic houses start to produce versions of mineral cosmetics it will become increasingly necessary to educate consumers about ingredients.  It is essential that consumers learn about the additional ingredients added to mineral cosmetics like those listed above, and also become aware of the deceptive marketing techniques that can be used by some of the bigger cosmetic players.
